Law, liberty, morality and rights

This volume contains a collection of selected papers presented in the
working groups of the 23rd World Congress of Legal and Social Philosophy
held in Kraków in August 2007. The papers focus on three main topics:
the legal system investigated from various perspectives, social and
ethical issues in the law and the problem of liberty and state. The
papers present different views and perspectives, as their authors come
from different countries and legal cultures. Readers will have an
opportunity to compare different approaches to certain classical
problems of legal philosophy and to learn about certain new ideas
pursued by researchers from different legal cultures.
